Bill of Lading (B/L)

A bill of lading is the most important sea freight document, issued by the shipping line after it takes charge of the cargo. It serves three roles: a receipt for the goods, evidence of the contract of carriage and a document of title. As a result, the holder of the original bill of lading can take delivery of the cargo at the port of destination or transfer ownership of it.

This term applies to Sivan's Import goods service.
