FAQ

Frequently asked questions about sea freight

How is sea freight cost calculated?

For a full container, the price is quoted per container based on the route, container type and the shipping line's current rate. For LCL, the charge is based on the cargo's volume or weight, whichever is greater.

How long does sea freight from China to Bandar Abbas take?

It depends on transit to the origin port, the shipping line's schedule and any intermediate stops. The exact time for each shipment is confirmed when you request a quote and book.

Should I get a 20ft or a 40ft container?

For heavy, low-volume cargo, a 20ft container is usually the better fit; for bulkier cargo, choose a 40ft or 40ft High Cube. Our team will recommend one based on your cargo's dimensions and weight.

Does Sivan Port also handle customs clearance?

Yes. You can add customs clearance and cargo insurance to your sea freight booking.

My cargo is less than one container. What should I do?

Use our less than container load (LCL) service. Your cargo travels in one container with other shipments and you pay only for its volume.
