Origin Engineering

Origin engineering means lawfully changing the place or process of a product's manufacture so that its country of origin changes, in order to benefit from a lower tariff or trade agreement advantages. This is allowed only when the change is genuine and meets the rules of origin; otherwise it is considered trade fraud.
