Green, Yellow and Red Lanes

The green, yellow and red channels are three levels of customs checks on goods, assigned by the customs system based on the risk profile of the goods and their owner. In the green channel, goods are released without document checks or inspection; in the yellow channel, only documents are reviewed; in the red channel, both documents and the goods themselves are inspected.
