Customs Clearance

Customs clearance is the process of completing the legal customs formalities for bringing goods into or out of a country. Documents are checked, the goods are inspected if necessary, and after duties and taxes are paid, a release permit is issued. Having complete documents before the cargo arrives is the biggest factor in clearance speed.
