Shipper's Letter of Instruction (SLI)
Shipper's letter of instruction is a document the exporter gives to the forwarder or carrier, specifying the shipment details, the method of transport, the required documents and any special instructions. It is the basis for preparing the bill of lading and completing export formalities.
