Dangerous goods are items that pose a risk to health, safety or the environment because of properties such as flammability, explosiveness, toxicity or corrosiveness. Their transport is governed by special regulations, such as IMDG for sea freight and IATA for air freight, and requires specific packaging, labeling and documentation.
